The Platanos tavern is located just before the village of Prokopi in Evia at the pilgrimage of Osios Ioannis of Rousos in the 46th kilometer of Chalkis - Edipsos, in a green and beautiful plantain with cool waters flowing from the springs of Mount Kandili.
Our wide range of appetizers includes salads, handmade snacks, pasta, and you can enjoy your coffee along with your breakfast. All the meals you will taste in our tavern are our production as the family of Chaloulias keeps an animal farm. We recommend you try Gouvernous Souvla, Kokoretsaki and Kontosouvli, as well as all the traditional dishes of the area, such as chicken with local macaroni, roast wine, lamb chops, barbecue sausages, handmade frying pans and many other fine mezedes. At your disposal there is the barrel wine of our own production from the vineyards of the family.
The traditional Platanos tavern has a very warm space in the interior hall and the large stone-built fireplace accompanies the tavern's guests on their delicious trip and creates a rare family atmosphere. In the summer and spring, the tavern spreads its tables under the age-old plane trees, generously providing their cool shade, among colorful flowers, green flower beds and beside the playground made for our little friends.
In the indoor hall we accommodate 500 people and if necessary, there is an outdoor sheltered space. The tavern is for weddings, christenings and other events and clubs. In all of these add totally reasonable prices (in spite of the times), family, friendly atmosphere and service to have a complete picture for us.
